Allegation of Mismanagement in Covid Testing Centre at the entry point of Tripura

NEI, 17th May, Guwahati – 

Allegations of mismanagement was raised  in the Covid-19 Testing Centre of Churaibari, the  gateway of Tripura . On Sunday Health Staffs of the covid testing centre who are risking there life and are operating the Covid testing centre by wearing PPE kits were put on question when Covid testing was on hold due to non- availability of testing kits . Health Staffs tried to check the temperature of the passengers by using thermal scanner and provided them the pass for entry. As the process was on few raised the question of providing false gate pass without testing. 

After the incident many people raised the issue that in the said testing centre one can easily get covid-19 negative report by giving bribe of Rs 500, 1000 which is a big concern.

As per sources Police  interfered in the issue and arrested 2 person in connection of the incident and the health workers which includes Ranjit Das and others who are deployed in the testing center were also called for interrogation but were not arrested.

After the incident CMO of Health department declined such allegations raised against Ranjit Das and stated that there is no direct allegation against him. He further informed for inquiry for the same .
